• Your final cruise documentation, including the contact details of the local ground operator, will be provided approximately 21 days prior to departure. This information may be used should you require assistance locating your meet-and-greet representative upon arrival. General Information

Electricity: Canada uses 120V / 60Hz electrical service and Type A and B outlets, the same standards used in the United States. If your equipment is designed for a different voltage or outlet configuration, bring an appropriate voltage converter and/or plug adapter. Check each device before connecting it, as a plug adapter does not convert voltage.

Expected Weather: Weather varies considerably throughout the journey, particularly in the Canadian Rockies. The source program lists average daytime highs from May through September of 14 to 22 degrees C / 57 to 71 degrees F in the Rockies, 14 to 23 degrees C / 57 to 72 degrees F in Kamloops and 13 to 18 degrees C / 55 to 64 degrees F in Vancouver. Mountain conditions can change quickly, and temperatures may be significantly cooler in the early morning, after sunset and at higher elevations.

What to Bring: Pack versatile layers, a lightweight raincoat, a warm jacket and, for shoulder-season departures, gloves. Bring flat-soled walking shoes with good grip, required medication, travel documents, sunglasses and a camera. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for this program.

Luggage: According to the source program, Rocky Mountaineer permits two pieces of checked luggage per person, with a combined weight not exceeding 60 lb. Airline allowances may differ.

Your checked luggage travels separately from the train and is delivered to your accommodations, so you will not have access to it during the rail journey. There is no overhead or under-seat luggage storage onboard. Bring only a compact personal item that can remain at your feet without obstructing the aisle. Keep medication, travel documents, valuables and other essentials with you.

Accessibility and Dietary Requirements: Advance notice is required if you need mobility assistance or other accessibility accommodation, or if you have dietary restrictions or food allergies. Contact Oceania Cruises when booking so your requirements can be reviewed with Rocky Mountaineer. All arrangements remain subject to operational capability. Kosher meals are not available under the source program.

Currency: The official currency is the Canadian dollar. Credit cards are widely accepted, although acceptance of U.S. dollars varies by merchant.

Documents and Entry Requirements: The source program requires a passport valid for at least six months after travel. Entry, visa and electronic travel authorization requirements vary according to your nationality, itinerary and method of arrival, and they may change without notice. You are responsible for confirming all current requirements with the appropriate government authority, embassy or consulate before travel.

Hints and Restrictions

• Walking takes place on paved paths, natural trails and uneven surfaces, with some gentle inclines.

• This program includes periods of extended walking and standing. You must be able to board and disembark motor coaches, the train and other transportation independently.

• Capilano Suspension Bridge, Cliff walk, Treetops Adventure and the Banff and Grouse Mountain aerial lifts involve heights and elevated walkways.

• Wear weather-appropriate layered clothing and flat, comfortable walking shoes.

Land programs that encompass multiple days ashore customarily include extensive and prolonged activity, while those of shorter durations typically have more moderate activity levels. However, each program varies, and participants should be prepared to negotiate a mixture of surfaces which may include inclines, cobblestones, sand, and gravel or natural paths. There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. This program is not recommended for guests who require the use of wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Guests with mobility concerns are advised to carefully assess their personal physical capabilities and stamina. Participants must be able to independently board and disembark from transportation, including motor coaches, and should be accompanied by an able-bodied companion if assistance is needed. Guests who choose to use independent transportation or wheelchair services provided by third-party companies may do so at their own risk and responsibility. We encourage guests to contact the cruise line in advance to discuss any specific mobility-related questions or concerns before booking this program. Weather appropriate clothing, hats, sunglasses, and flat, comfortable walking shoes are generally recommended.

Booking, Pricing and Cancellation

All land programs are capacity controlled and subject to availability. Programs falling under the minimum number of required participants are subject to cancellation. Pricing listed is also subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases for transportation, land arrangements, or currency fluctuations. Once purchased, pricing is guaranteed and not subject to change. Pre-cruise land programs must be purchased no later than 90 days prior to your sail date. Cancellations made within 90 days or less prior to the sail date are subject to a 100 percent cancellation penalty. No refunds or partial refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the program. This includes, but is not limited to, missed transfers, accommodation, guided tours, meals, or activities. All venues, hotel stays, tour guides, and logistical services are secured and pre-paid well in advance to ensure a seamless experience for all participants.
