OVLD:GREAT BARRIER REEF & RAINFOREST

$7,599.00/person

Escape to the world’s oldest living rainforest – the UNESCO World Heritage site Daintree – and explore the Great Barrier Reef, another World Heritage site known for its extraordinary biodiversity. The adventure in the rainforest will include an enlightening walk during which you will learn about the indigenous culture that has long made its home there. The wonders of the Great Barrier Reef will be just as inspiring. While cruising through this massive coral reef system, you will pause to snorkel its crystal-clear waters, an experience unlike any other.

DAY 1

After disembarking the cruise ship in Cairns, meet your local representative and begin your exploration of Far North Queensland.

Travel to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for a remarkable perspective of the ancient rainforest canopy. Glide above the treetops, pausing at two stops en route to explore the landscape from closer vantage points. Stroll along boardwalks that wind through the rainforest and take in panoramic views of Red Peak and Barron Falls.

Continue to the village of Kuranda, where you will have time to browse before a short transfer to a privately owned rainforest estate. Here, enjoy an exclusive guided experience through a rich and diverse tropical ecosystem. As you explore, learn about the region’s distinctive flora and fauna, with the possibility of spotting native wildlife, including the elusive cassowary. Continue through the tropical fruit orchard, home to more than 600 fruit trees, and sample a selection of seasonal produce before lunch.

Your journey then follows the coastline of Far North Queensland, with views of the Northern Beaches, before arriving at Thala Beach Nature Reserve. This deluxe eco retreat is set within native forest atop a spectacular peninsula, offering sweeping views of untouched coastline. Unobtrusively nestled into the natural landscape, the resort provides exceptional opportunities to observe wildlife from the privacy and comfort of your veranda.

During your stay, enjoy the resort’s included activities, which may feature a guided nature walk, coconut plantation tour with the opportunity to taste young coconuts, cultural experience with the Aboriginal traditional owners, birds and butterflies walking tour, or stargazing introduction to the Southern constellations. Self-guided maps also allow you to explore surrounding rainforest and beach trails at your own pace, exclusive to in-house guests.

Dinner is included daily at Osprey’s Restaurant, set among the treetops.

Please note: Activities are subject to change based on the resort’s daily schedule and maybe weather dependent.

Overnight: Thala Beach Nature Reserve or similar

DAY 2

After breakfast, overlooking the rainforest and the sparkling waters of the Great Barrier Reef, meet your guide for the morning’s adventure. A scenic drive through Sugarcane farmland brings you to the neighboring town of Mossman, home to Mossman Gorge and some of the traditional owners of this land.

Embark on an immersive journey that blends nature and culture, hosted by an Indigenous Aboriginal guide. Begin with a traditional smoking ceremony, then take a gentle walk through the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest while learning about the deep cultural relationship between the local community and this unique tropical environment. Along the way, discover regional traditions and sample light refreshments.

Following this enriching experience, explore the tropical coastal town of Port Douglas. Soak up the relaxed charm of the region with free time for browsing and souvenir shopping before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant.

Return to the resort for an afternoon at leisure amid the stunning natural landscape before dinner.

Overnight: Thala Beach Nature Reserve or similar

DAY 3

After breakfast at the lodge, meet your guide in the lobby and set out for a full-day exploration of the Great Barrier Reef. Spend the day on the water, visiting two exclusive snorkeling sites on this pristine marine wonder.

Home to a remarkable variety of marine life and coral, the reef offers an extraordinary opportunity to experience one of the world’s most celebrated ecosystems up close. Whether you are an experienced snorkeler or new to the water, the expert crew will be available to provide comfort and support throughout the day.

Your Great Barrier Reef experience includes lunch, beverages, all snorkeling equipment, and lycra suits.

DAY 2

Following breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a picturesque drive to the Lintong District to visit the renowned Terracotta Warriors Museum. First excavated in 1974, the 7,000 life-size terracotta warriors and horses are acclaimed as the “eighth wonder of the world.” Arranged in battle order, rank by rank, some warriors appear mounted on horse-drawn chariots while others stand in infantry groups armed with spears, swords and crossbows. Each figure was individually created with distinctive characteristics, making this one of the most extraordinary archaeological discoveries in the world.

After your visit, enjoy a Chinese-style lunch at a local restaurant.

This afternoon, continue to the Bronze Chariots and Horses Museum, home to two remarkable bronze chariots and horses discovered in 1980 near the tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. Dating to the Qin Dynasty, these life-size models are among the largest, oldest and best-preserved bronze artifacts of their kind ever found. Each chariot consists of more than 3,000 components, revealing extraordinary craftsmanship and advanced metallurgical skill. Created to accompany the emperor in the afterlife, the chariots reflect both ancient Chinese beliefs and the remarkable artistry of Qin artisans.

After this enriching day of discovery, return to your hotel for time at leisure. This evening, enjoy dinner accompanied by the Tang Dynasty Show.

General Information

Electricity:

The electricity in China is generally 220V, 50Hz, AC. An adaptor is necessary. Most hotels in China have both 110V and 220V electrical outlets in the bathrooms; however, guests are encouraged to bring a universal travel adaptor for electric devices.

Expected Weather:

In late March and early April, weather conditions can vary between Hong Kong, Xi’an, Beijing and Shanghai, so guests should be prepared for changing temperatures, occasional cool mornings and evenings, particularly in northern China, and are encouraged to bring layered clothing and comfortable walking shoes.

What to Bring:

Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, layered clothing and a camera are recommended.

Please note: Power banks will be strictly checked at the airports and may be confiscated if they appear dubious.

Currency:

The Chinese Yuan, denoted by CNY, is the official currency in China. U.S. Dollars, Euros and British Pounds may be accepted in hotels, friendship stores, by some vendors at scenic spots, for optional tours and for gratuities to hotel porters, tour guides, drivers or others you may wish to tip. Foreign currencies generally cannot be used in department stores, small convenience stores, local restaurants or with some street vendors.

Luggage:

Guests are permitted to bring, free of charge, one carry-on bag and one piece of checked luggage, although for this short program we recommend bringing carry-on luggage only, keeping in mind restrictions for liquids, gels and other items not suitable for carry-on luggage.

Carry-on luggage should not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm / 22 x 16 x 8 in in size and 5 kg / 11 lbs. in weight. Checked luggage should not exceed 100 x 60 x 40 cm / 39 x 24 x 16 in in size and 20 kg / 44 lbs. in weight. These dimensions include wheels, handles and side pockets.

Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)

1. Guests must obtain a doctor’s certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry this equipment with them on their flights.

2. The certificate should have attached a picture of the equipment with its description/specifications, especially with regards to the type of batteries used (lithium/dry or any other type).

3. These documents must be sent to the Land Program Team via the Reservations Team at least one month prior to travel so that our local operator can begin the notification process with the airline(s).

4. Failure to comply with the above regulations may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which the cruise line nor our local ground operator can be responsible for.

Please note: Some airlines may impose restrictions or specific requirements when transporting wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or other assistive devices. We recommend checking directly with your airline or the Cruise Line prior to departure to ensure compliance with their policies.

Guests are required to bring with them any details from the manufacturer regarding CPAP specifications. While most modern CPAP machines are FAA-approved for in-flight use, having a copy of the manufacturer’s FAA-approval status may help quickly clear any confusion that may arise.

Failure to provide the above details in a timely manner may result in denial of this equipment at the airport, for which Oceania Cruises nor the local ground operator will be responsible.

Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While this can certainly be requested, it cannot be guaranteed. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that the ground operators and hotels receive. Guests are strongly encouraged to pack their own supply, especially on programs that travel to more remote locations, to avoid not having it. Please keep in mind the rule for liquids in carry-on bags. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.

Documents & Visa Requirements:

A passport that is valid at least six months beyond your travel dates is required for this program. Guests are responsible for verifying current visa and entry requirements for China with their local embassy or consulate prior to travel, as requirements vary by nationality and are subject to change at any time. Visa fees, if applicable, are not included in the cost of this program, and it is each guest’s responsibility to ensure that all travel documentation is complete and valid before departure.

China currently offers a 240-hour visa-free transit policy for eligible nationals entering through designated ports and transiting onward to a third country or region. However, eligibility, permitted routing, entry ports, required documentation and policy conditions may change without notice; therefore, guests should independently confirm their eligibility with the appropriate Chinese embassy, consulate or official government authority prior to travel.

Guests who choose to travel under the 240-hour visa-free transit policy may be required to present supporting documentation upon arrival, including a valid passport, proof of onward travel to a third country or region within the permitted transit period, confirmed hotel arrangements, flight documentation and cruise itinerary details. Guests who are not eligible for visa-free transit, who are uncertain of their eligibility, or who prefer to avoid the risk of being denied entry are encouraged to obtain the appropriate Chinese visa in advance of travel.

Should the itinerary, flight routing, entry requirements or Chinese visa policy change, or should visa-free transit not be granted by immigration authorities for any reason, guests will be responsible for any resulting expenses, and the land program will remain subject to the applicable cancellation terms.

Vaccination & Health Regulations:

Guests are responsible for confirming up-to-date vaccination requirements directly with their local embassy or health authority. Please note that visa and vaccination costs are not included in the price of this program.

Important Documentation Notice:

To ensure successful flight arrangements for this program, the name on your cruise booking, passport, and any required visas must match exactly. General Information

Electricity:

French Polynesia’s electrical system operates at 220 volts with a frequency of 50 Hz. Most hotels and resorts provide standard European-style two-prong outlets. If you are bringing electrical appliances from outside Europe, it is advisable to carry an international adapter kit. The outlets generally accept Type E and Type F plugs, featuring two round pins. While many accommodations offer hair dryers and adapters, it is recommended to bring your own adapters to ensure compatibility. Be aware that in some remote areas or during power-saving periods, electricity may be limited, potentially restricting the use or charging of devices overnight.

Expected Weather:

In French Polynesia, February and March are part of the wet season. Daytime temperatures generally range from the high 60s to the mid-80s Fahrenheit with humidity levels often high. Occasional rain showers typically occur, mostly in the late afternoon or evening. Despite the rain, evenings remain warm and pleasant.

What to Bring:

Casual lightweight clothing is recommended. Daytime attire is relaxed while evenings call for smart-casual wear. Comfortable sandals or water shoes are advisable for beach activities and exploring coral reefs. Don’t forget swimwear, sun hats, sunglasses and sunscreen.

Currency:

The official currency is the Pacific Franc. All major credit cards are accepted at the Hilton Moorea.

Luggage:

For this short trip, we recommend just a small suitcase or bag.

Documents and Visa Requirements:

Valid passports must be always kept with guests during travel. Please contact your local embassy or consulate for the latest requirements and application procedures.

$10,599.00/person

Discover Australia in extraordinary style on a journey that pairs the spiritual grandeur of the Red Centre with the lush tropical beauty of Far North Queensland. Begin in Sydney with an elegant overnight stay before flying to Uluru, where the desert reveals its ancient stories through Indigenous art, sacred landscapes, starlit dining, and the ever-changing colors of Uluru at sunrise and sunset. Continue to Cairns, your gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage-listed rainforest, where private cultural encounters, immersive wildlife experiences, and coastal dining showcase the remarkable diversity of northern Australia. With exceptional hotels, expert local guidance, and thoughtfully curated experiences throughout, this program offers a seamless and memorable exploration of Australia’s most iconic natural wonders.

Special Note: Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators, POC, or CPAP breathing machines should review the airline stipulations below regarding the carriage of this equipment while on tour.

DAY 1

Disembark the ship in Sydney this afternoon, allowing time earlier in the day to participate in the ship’s Shore Excursion program at your leisure.

This evening, settle into your room at the Four Seasons hotel, an elegant city retreat overlooking one of Australia’s most celebrated harbors. Gather for dinner in-house, where you will meet your fellow travelers and your local expert host, who will accompany you throughout the week and introduce you to some of Australia’s most remarkable landscapes, cultures, and experiences.

Overnight: Four Seasons hotel or similar

DAY 2

Following breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight from Sydney to Uluru. Upon arrival, continue to Sails in the Desert, your refined base in Australia’s Red Centre.

This afternoon, begin your immersion into the cultural heart of the region with a dot painting workshop and a visit to the Cultural Centre. Guided by a local artist, learn about the traditional Aboriginal art of dot painting while gaining insight into the history, symbolism, and cultural practices of the local Mutitjulu community.

As evening falls, experience the desert at its most atmospheric during the Sounds of Silence dinner. Your evening begins with canapés and welcome drinks on a dune top overlooking Uluru at dusk, followed by dinner beneath the vast outback sky. A live didgeridoo performance sets the tone for a bush tucker-inspired menu featuring native ingredients, while a guided stargazing experience reveals the cultural stories of the Southern constellations and the Milky Way.

Overnight: Sails in the Desert or similar.

DAY 3

Rise early for Sunrise Journeys, a multi-sensory experience that combines music and light projections to bring Indigenous stories and art to life against the natural desert environment. Enjoy breakfast with iconic Uluru as your backdrop, watching the first light of day transform the landscape in a quiet celebration of culture and nature.

Return to the hotel to refresh before setting out to explore Uluru more closely. Travel around the base of this ancient monolith, then join your expert guide for the Mala Walk. As you walk beneath towering sandstone formations, gain a deeper understanding of the sacred significance of this landscape, its rock art, and the living cultural traditions of the Anangu people.

Following your outback exploration, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Sails in the Desert for an afternoon at leisure. You may choose to participate in the hotel’s immersive activities, such as a didgeridoo workshop or guided garden walk, subject to the hotel’s daily schedule. Alternatively, take a short walk to a nearby viewpoint or explore the town of Yulara, including the Gallery of Central Australia, where you will find artwork connected to the morning’s Sunrise Journeys experience.

This evening, witness the changing colors of Uluru at sunset while enjoying light refreshments. Dinner is at leisure, and your Tour Director will be pleased to recommend local restaurant options.

Overnight: Sails in the Desert or similar.

DAY 4

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to the tropical city of Cairns. Upon arrival, discover a striking contrast to the desert as you enter the lush landscapes and coastal energy of Far North Queensland.

This evening, visit Cairns Aquarium for an exclusive after-hours experience as the ecosystems of the region transition from day to night. During your private twilight tour, explore the aquarium with an expert guide while nocturnal marine life begins to emerge, from reef sharks and rays to colorful coral species and rainforest reptiles.

Later, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant on the Cairns Waterfront. Your stay is at Crystalbrook Riley, a tropical resort where contemporary luxury and relaxed coastal style reflect the vibrant spirit of the region.

Overnight: Crystalbrook Riley or similar.

DAY 5

Travel across brilliant tropical waters to two exclusive snorkeling sites, where coral gardens and diverse marine life reveal the remarkable beauty of this UNESCO-designated World Heritage area.

Whether you are an experienced snorkeler or new to the reef, the expert crew will be available to provide comfort and support throughout the day. Your Great Barrier Reef experience includes lunch, beverages, all snorkeling equipment, and lycra suits.

Please bring a towel from the hotel. Scuba diving is not available on this program.

Following your day on the reef, return to Cairns for an evening at leisure, with dinner on your own.

After breakfast, travel north toward Mossman Gorge, where rainforest, river, and Indigenous culture converge in a landscape of extraordinary natural beauty. Your scenic drive passes through sugarcane farmland before reaching the neighboring town of Mossman, home to Mossman Gorge and some of the traditional owners of this land.

Join an Indigenous Aboriginal guide for an immersive experience that blends nature and culture. Begin with a traditional smoking ceremony, then take a gentle walk through the World Heritage-listed Daintree rainforest while learning about the deep cultural relationship between the local community and this unique tropical environment. Along the way, discover regional traditions and sample traditional refreshments.

Continue along the coast to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures for lunch. Here, view native species including saltwater crocodiles during a river cruise, then observe Australian wildlife on a private guided tour, including koalas and many other native species.

Back in Cairns, enjoy a special regional dinner at one of Crystalbrook’s nearby restaurants, celebrating the flavors and relaxed sophistication of Far North Queensland.

Overnight: Crystalbrook Riley or similar

DAY 7

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and travel to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for a remarkable perspective on the ancient rainforest canopy. Glide above the treetops, pausing at two stops en-route to explore the forest from closer vantage points.

Continue through the tropical fruit orchard, home to more than 600 fruit trees, and sample a selection of seasonal produce with light refreshments.
