Following your enlightening visit at the museum you will stop at the magnificent Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi. The majestic Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque is probably the most imposing religious and national landmark in Abu Dhabi to date. It is also arguably one of the most important architectural treasures of contemporary UAE society - and one of the most beautiful in the world - initiated no less by the late president HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is fondly thought of as the father of UAE.

DAY 2 – Delhi – Jaipur
Start your day with a continental breakfast before transferring to the airport for your Air India Express flight (TBC) to Jaipur. Located between two great river systems, Rajasthan is a desert realm steeped in tales of romance, valor, and chivalry. Its warrior kings, revered as “sons of kings”, have left behind a legacy of rich culture and stunning architecture that continues to inspire. Your stay is at the Jai Mahal Palace, once the residence of the Prime Minister. This elegant palace showcases classic Rajput architecture, complete with domes, minarets, and beautifully landscaped gardens where peacocks freely roam. [Learn more about Jai Mahal Palace.
After breakfast, set-out to explore Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City. A harmonious blend of historic charm and modern vibrancy, Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, a visionary ruler, scholar, and astronomer. As India’s first planned city, it remains a marvel more than two centuries later. Visit the City Palace, still home to the royal family, and explore its museums filled with regal costumes, weaponry, and artwork. Just a short walk away is Jantar Mantar, the extraordinary open-air observatory built in 1728 by Jai Singh, reflecting his deep passion for astronomy. Return to the hotel for lunch and check-in. Later, immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Jaipur’s bazaars, renowned for their dazzling gemstones, handcrafted jewelry, block-printed textiles, and exquisite artisanal goods. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the Jai Mahal Palace.
DAY 3 – Jaipur – Ranthambore
Begin your day with tea, coffee, juices, and fresh rolls served in the hotel lobby prior to departure.
At dawn, join local devotees at the Govind Dev Ji Temple—also known as the Krishna Temple—for the sacred Aarti ceremony. Built in 1735 by Maharajah Sawai Pratap Singh II, the temple is adorned with elegant chandeliers and traditional Indian artwork. Its architectural marvel includes the world’s largest single-span flat roof, strategically positioned to offer the Maharajah a direct view from his palace.
Aarti, derived from Sanskrit meaning “homage” or “devotion,” is a ritual of offering light to the gods. Performed at designated times throughout the day and night, it is believed that the divine physically manifests during the ceremony. Lamps are circled clockwise before the deity, accompanied by the rhythmic chanting of hymns, the beat of drums, the sound of conch shells, and the ringing of temple bells. To conclude, the priest circles water around the idol to appease Agni, the fire god. The lamps, now imbued with divine presence, are used by devotees to collect the aromatic fumes and gently apply them to their faces.
After this spiritually enriching experience, return to the hotel for breakfast.
Later, drive to Amber Fort, stopping en route at the iconic Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds. This stunning example of Rajput architecture is crafted from red and pink sandstone, highlighted with white borders and motifs painted in quick lime.
Arrive at Amber Fort, once the stronghold of Jaipur’s Rajput rulers. Ascend the fort by jeep and explore its majestic palaces, including the private Shiladevi Temple, known for its intricate marble carvings and ornate silver doors.
Return to the hotel for lunch, then embark on a scenic 3½-hour drive through the countryside to Ranthambore, home to India’s renowned tiger sanctuary. Upon arrival, check in at the Taj Sawai Madhopur Lodge. Once a royal hunting ground, Ranthambore evolved into a globally recognized center for tiger conservation and research. The reserve is famed for its efforts to protect the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger and has inspired numerous acclaimed documentaries and books. Some tigers here have developed distinctive hunting techniques, making them subjects of international fascination.
Enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at the Taj Sawai Madhopur Lodge.
DAY 4 – Ranthambore
At dawn, enjoy coffee, tea, and bread rolls before setting off on a jeep or canter safari into Ranthambore National Park. Accompanied by expert naturalists, explore the park’s rich biodiversity, keeping watch for a wide variety of birds, mammals, and apex predators. The park’s deep gorges offer shelter to elusive species such as leopards, tigers, and sloth bears. The forest also provides an ideal habitat for chital (spotted deer) and sambar, the largest deer species in Asia. The area is also home to an abundance of woodland, ground, and water birds, including the rare red jungle fowl.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and enjoy a leisurely morning.
In many rural parts of India, traditional crafts remain a vital source of social and economic empowerment—often serving as the primary means of employment for women. You may choose to visit the award-winning Dastkar Society, founded by six women to help artisans use their heritage skills to generate income and gain independence from commercial middlemen. The center hosts workshops for local communities, focusing on contemporary design, product development, and training in production systems. It features a wide selection of beautiful textiles and home goods, directly supporting over 370 craftspeople from villages surrounding Ranthambore.
In the late afternoon, embark on another thrilling game drive through the park.
Return to the lodge at dusk.

DAY 2 – Delhi – Agra
After breakfast, embark on a scenic journey to Agra via the modern Yamuna Expressway.
Light refreshments will be served onboard the coach, with scheduled restroom stops along the way.
Upon arrival in Agra, check in to the Jaypee Palace Hotel.
Agra’s prominence began with the rise of the Mughal Empire, transforming the city into a vibrant hub of learning, art, commerce, and culture. Its cosmopolitan markets and strategic location along the Yamuna River made it a fitting seat of imperial power. Today, Agra is a treasure trove of World Heritage sites and traditional artisan workshops.
Enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure.
Later, visit the Taj Mahal, often described as the ivory gate through which all dreams pass. This exquisite monument, renowned for its architectural perfection, reveals its true beauty in intricate details. As dusk falls, the marble façade glows with the warm hues of the setting sun, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
Before dinner, enjoy a short cultural performance at the hotel featuring Kathak, a classical dance form that flourished in the royal courts during the Mughal era. This expressive art blends rhythmic footwork, dramatic spins, and storytelling gestures, drawing from both Persian poetry and Hindu mythology.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Jaypee Palace Hotel or similar.
DAY 3 - Agra
Early Morning Experience
Begin your day with coffee, tea, juices, and fresh bread rolls served in the hotel lobby before departing for the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Witness the first light of day casting a golden glow over the pearl-white monument, an unforgettable moment of serenity and beauty. Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Morning Excursion Options:
Fatehpur Sikri: Take a drive into the Indian countryside to explore Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone city that once served as the Mughal capital. Legend tells of Emperor Akbar’s pilgrimage to Sikri to seek the blessings of the saint Shaikh Salim Chishti. Upon the birth of his sons, Akbar built this magnificent city, blending Hindu and Islamic architectural styles. Though it thrived between 1571 and 1585, it was later abandoned—possibly due to water supply challenges. Today, it stands as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a testament to Akbar’s vision and tolerance.
Agra Fort: Visit the Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site credited to Emperor Akbar. Enclosed within its massive red sandstone walls are palaces, mosques, and audience halls, showcasing a rich fusion of Hindu and Islamic artistry. Return to the hotel for lunch.
Afternoon Options:
Agra Fort: (If not visited in the morning) Explore the majestic Agra Fort, a symbol of imperial power and architectural brilliance.
Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah: Discover the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah, often referred to as the “Baby Taj.” This elegant mausoleum was the first to extensively use pietra dura—intricate marble inlay work that later defined the Taj Mahal. Though smaller in scale, its delicate craftsmanship and intimate charm are captivating.
Astrology Consultation: Meet Agra’s leading astrologer at the hotel. Guests may book a personal horoscope reading through the Oceania Cruises Hospitality Desk.
Shopping: Browse renowned shops such as Kohinoor, jewelers to the Mughal court and featured in National Geographic. Their private collection includes antique emerald necklaces, enamel jewelry, and exquisite embroidery. You may also visit marble inlay workshops, where artisans continue Agra’s rich decorative traditions.
Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the Jaypee Palace Hotel or similar.
DAY 4 – Agra – Delhi
After breakfast, depart for Delhi by road. Restroom stops will be made en route, and light refreshments will be served onboard the coach.
Upon arrival in Delhi, enjoy lunch and check in to the elegant Roseate House.
Delhi, often referred to as the Empress of Indian Cities, boasts a rich and layered history. Though repeatedly invaded and left in ruins, its strategic location ensured its continual rebirth as the capital of successive empires. From the Rajputs and Afghans to the Turks, Mughals, and eventually the British, Delhi has been the seat of power for centuries. Its landscape is dotted with remnants of these dynasties—majestic ruins, tombs, and monuments that speak to the grandeur of civilizations past.
This afternoon, explore the wide boulevards and stately architecture of New Delhi. Highlights include India Gate, the nation’s war memorial and triumphal arch; Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of India’s President, blending Mughal and Western styles and formerly the home of the last British Viceroy, Lord Mountbatten; and Sansad Bhavan, India’s Parliament House, a circular structure symbolizing democratic governance.
Visit the Qutb Minar, India’s tallest minaret at 73 meters, built in 1199 by Qutb-ud-din Aybak, founder of the Slave Dynasty. Despite the name, these rulers were far from servile—many were former captives who rose to power through loyalty and ambition. The Qutb complex is a striking example of early Indo-Islamic architecture, with the minaret serving as both a tower of victory and a symbol of imperial might.
Continue to the Tomb of Humayun, commissioned by his senior wife, Haji Begum, in the 16th century. This early Mughal masterpiece features a harmonious blend of Persian and Indian design elements, including arched entrances, a grand dome, and formal gardens. Recently restored by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, it stands as India’s largest conservation project and a precursor to the Taj Mahal.
