In GoldLeaf Service, sweeping views reveal rugged mountain ranges, ancient glaciers, dense forests and rushing rivers, while attentive onboard hospitality enhances the experience. Along this legendary route, engineering feats such as the Spiral Tunnels and the historic significance of Craigellachie, where the final spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven in 1885, bring Canada's pioneering past vividly to life. From the dramatic walls of Kicking Horse Canyon to the towering peaks surrounding Rogers Pass, the journey unfolds as a continuous panorama of natural and historical treasures. The day concludes in Kamloops, with unforgettable images of snow-capped summits and vast wilderness lingering long after the train has come to rest.

In GoldLeaf Service, panoramic glass-dome views frame the powerful Thompson and Fraser Rivers as they carve through dramatic canyons and mountain corridors. Along the route, the thundering waters of Hell's Gate and the impressive rock sheds lining the railway showcase both nature's force and the ingenuity required to navigate this rugged terrain. If your equipment is designed for a different voltage or outlet configuration, bring an appropriate voltage converter and/or plug adapter. Check each device before connecting it, as a plug adapter does not convert voltage.
Expected Weather: Weather varies considerably throughout the journey, particularly in the Canadian Rockies. The source program lists average daytime highs from May through September of 14 to 22 degrees C / 57 to 71 degrees F in the Rockies, 14 to 23 degrees C / 57 to 72 degrees F in Kamloops and 13 to 18 degrees C / 55 to 64 degrees F in Vancouver. Mountain conditions can change quickly, and temperatures may be significantly cooler in the early morning, after sunset and at higher elevations.

Luggage: According to the source program, Rocky Mountaineer permits two pieces of checked luggage per person, with a combined weight not exceeding 60 lb. Airline allowances may differ.
Your checked luggage travels separately from the train and is delivered to your accommodations, so you will not have access to it during the rail journey. There is no overhead or under-seat luggage storage onboard. Bring only a compact personal item that can remain at your feet without obstructing the aisle. Keep medication, travel documents, valuables and other essentials with you.
Accessibility and Dietary Requirements: Advance notice is required if you need mobility assistance or other accessibility accommodation, or if you have dietary restrictions or food allergies. Contact Oceania Cruises when booking so your requirements can be reviewed with Rocky Mountaineer. All arrangements remain subject to operational capability. Kosher meals are not available under the source program.
Currency: The official currency is the Canadian dollar. Credit cards are widely accepted, although acceptance of U.S. dollars varies by merchant.
Documents and Entry Requirements: The source program requires a passport valid for at least six months after travel.
