Immerse yourself in the enduring legacy of the ancient Khmer Empire on a journey centered around Angkor Wat, a vast temple complex now serving as a Buddhist sanctuary, originally constructed as a Hindu temple in the early 12th century. By day, explore evocative temple ruins where intricately carved stone, soaring towers, and timeworn corridors reflect centuries of artistry and devotion. As evening falls, you may enjoy a traditional folkloric performance that brings Cambodia’s cultural heritage to life.
A defining moment of the program is a serene boat cruise along the moat of Angkor Thom, the empire’s late 12th-century capital. Drifting across still waters in the soft light of dusk offers an atmospheric perspective on this once-powerful walled city, providing a relaxed way to take in the scale, symbolism, and grandeur of Khmer civilization.
Special Note: Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.
DAY 1 - Sihanoukville / Siem Reap
After disembarking in Sihanoukville, you transfer to Sihanoukville Airport, pausing en route for a photo stop at the Statue of Love. You then fly to Siem Reap.
Upon arrival, you transfer to your hotel for check-in. Lunch is on your own.
In the late afternoon, you set out by tuk-tuk to the South Gate of Angkor Thom. There, you board a traditional Khmer gondola and drift along the moat of the ancient walled city, an elegant, early-evening perspective on the scale and serenity of the Khmer world. A selection of canapés is served, and you may enjoy a glass or two of wine as the landscape softens into sunset.
You then return to the hotel. Dinner is on your own.

DAY 2 - Angkor Temples & Cultural Performance
This morning, you may choose an optional sunrise visit to Angkor Wat and enjoy breakfast following your visit.
After breakfast, you drive to Banteay Srei, the beautiful “Women’s Citadel,” located approximately 30 km from Siem Reap.
Next, you visit iconic Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Southeast Asia’s most important cultural landmarks. During a guided tour of approximately 2 hours (timing may vary), your guide highlights ideal vantage points for photography as you walk the moss-flecked paths and admire the intricate carvings. Subject to site regulations, visitor limits, and appropriate attire, you may have the opportunity to ascend the steep, narrow steps to the upper levels and surrounding courtyards.
Following lunch, you continue to the Angkor Thom Complex, including the South Gate, the renowned Bayon with its monumental stone faces, the Elephant Terrace, and the Leper King.
Another highlight is Ta Prohm, celebrated for its jungle atmosphere and towering fig trees, left evocatively intertwined with the temple’s stones and recognizable as a filming location for Tomb Raider.
This evening, you enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, often accompanied by a traditional Cambodian cultural performance. Afterward, you return to your hotel.

DAY 3 - Art & Heritage
After breakfast, you visit Theam’s Gallery, a lesser-known cultural site in Siem Reap that serves as the home, atelier, and gallery of Cambodian artists.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you visit the Angkor National Museum, where extensive collections of Buddha statues and religious artifacts are displayed across multiple galleries, offering insight into the history and culture of the Khmer civilization.
You then return to the hotel, and the remainder of the day is at leisure. Dinner is on your own.

DAY 4 - Siem Reap / Ho Chi Minh City / Phu My (Ship Rejoin)
After breakfast, you check out and transfer to Siem Reap Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon arrival, you will complete Vietnam visa formalities as applicable to your nationality. Collect your bags, proceed through customs, and meet your guide at the designated arrivals meeting point for your transfer directly to the ship at Phu My Port (approximately 1.5–2 hours by road, traffic permitting).

General Information
Electricity:
Rooms are equipped with 220-volt, two-pin US-style electrical outlets. We recommend traveling with your own adapter kit should you have electronic devices.
Expected Weather:
Hot and dry. The average midday temperatures can hover in the upper 30s C (85-90 F), especially in inland areas like Siem Reap. It is less breezy at this time of year, the sun can be quite intense, and the air becomes hazier with the rising humidity. The lack of rain still leaves this a good time of year to visit the temples
What to Bring:
Dress comfortably and casually. Be sure to observe local dress codes.
• Avoid uncovered shoulders, shorts or revealing clothing.
• Full-length trousers or pants and/or skirts covering the knees are required to be worn when visiting Angkor Wat.
Although dinners are not formal, you may want to bring something a bit dressier for that time of day.
Bring a hat or a head covering for sun protection and don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses and mosquito repellent for sunrise and sunset hours. It’s also a good idea to bring along a small packet of tissues or wet wipes. It is also suggested that guests wear flat comfortable walking shoes, not sandals or open-toed shoes or flip flops. Guests must take off their footwear and hats when visiting religious sites.
Currency:
KHR - Cambodian Riel. US Dollars are also widely accepted in Cambodia. Bring dollars in smaller denominations to prevent an abundance of local change that you can’t re-exchange back home.
Luggage:
Light luggage is recommended. The airlines allow a maximum of one checked suitcase (20 kg / 44 lbs.) and one small carry-on. Additional pieces will be excess and any airline fees are at the guests’ expense.
Neither Oceania Cruises, the hotel, nor the local ground operator are responsible or liable for any lost or missing items. Do not leave valuables behind or in checked luggage. Keep valuables with you in your carry-on handbag.
Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)
1. Guests must obtain a doctor’s certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry this equipment with them on their flights.
2. The certificate should have attached a picture of the equipment with its description/specifications, especially with regards to the type of batteries used (lithium/dry or any other type).
3. These documents must be sent to the Land Program Team via the Reservations Team at least one month prior to travel so that our local operator can begin the notification process with the airline(s).
4. Failure to comply with the above regulations may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which the cruise line nor our local ground operator can be responsible for.
Please note: Some airlines may impose restrictions or specific requirements when transporting wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or other assistive devices. We recommend checking directly with your airline or the Cruise Line prior to departure to ensure compliance with their policies.
Documents & Visa Requirements:
Cambodia: Cambodian visas will be issued upon arrival at Sihanoukville Port. You must travel with a valid passport carrying at least six (6) months validity beyond your travel dates, and you should ensure you have sufficient blank pages available for visa issuance and entry/exit stamps.
As entry rules can change without notice, guests are strongly advised to verify current visa requirements and procedures with their local embassy or consulate well in advance of departure.
Vietnam: Your Vietnam visa will be processed upon arrival at Saigon Airport. Please bring one (1) passport-size photo for the Vietnam visa application. As with all international entry requirements, visa regulations are subject to change at any time; it remains each guest’s responsibility to confirm the latest requirements with the appropriate embassy or consulate prior to travel.
Vaccination & Health Regulations:
Guests are responsible for confirming up-to-date vaccination requirements directly with their local embassy or health authority. Please note that vaccination costs are not included in the price of this program.

To ensure successful flight arrangements for this program, the name on your cruise booking, passport, and any required visas must match exactly. This includes first, middle, and last names, with identical spelling across all documents. Discrepancies may result in denial of boarding by the airline.
Cruise line-generated manifests must align precisely with your official travel documents.
Failure to present the correct documentation or inconsistencies in guests names may lead to denied travel or the need to re-purchase tickets at your own expense. Guests will be responsible for any additional costs incurred due to these discrepancies.

Hints & Restrictions:
• Heat and humidity: Conditions can be hot and humid. Guests are encouraged to stay well hydrated and practice good food and water hygiene to minimize the risk of stomach discomfort.
• Sun exposure: Much of the sightseeing takes place outdoors with limited shade. Please bring appropriate sun protection, including a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
• Walking conditions: Expect extensive walking at temple sites over a variety of surfaces, including uneven stone pathways and natural terrain. Some sites may involve steps or stairs. Guests should be prepared for sustained periods on foot.
• Footwear: For comfort and safety on uneven ground, flat, comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
• Mobility considerations: This program involves prolonged activity, uneven terrain, and significant walking. It may not be suitable for guests who require the use of a wheelchair or mobility scooter. Guests with mobility concerns should carefully assess their personal stamina and ability to independently board and disembark transportation.
• Early start option (sunrise): Guests choosing the sunrise visit should be prepared for a very early morning departure and cooler pre-dawn conditions relative to midday temperatures

Guests with mobility concerns are advised to carefully assess their personal physical capabilities and stamina. Participants must be able to independently board and disembark from transportation, including motor coaches, and should be accompanied by an able-bodied companion if assistance is needed. Guests who choose to use independent transportation or wheelchair services provided by third-party companies may do so at their own risk and responsibility. We encourage guests to contact the cruise line in advance to discuss any specific mobility-related questions or concerns before booking this program. Weather appropriate clothing; hats; sunglasses; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are generally recommended.
Booking, Pricing & Cancelation:
All land programs are capacity controlled and subject to availability. Programs falling under the minimum number of required participants are subject to cancellation. Pricing listed is also subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases for transportation, land arrangements or currency fluctuations. Once purchased, pricing is guaranteed and not subject to change. Land programs must be purchased no later than 90 days prior to your sail date. Cancellations made within 90 days or less prior to the sail date are subject to 100% cancellation penalty. No refunds or partial refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the program. This includes, but is not limited to, missed transfers, accommodations, guided tours, meals, or activities.
