Day 1 - Cairns | Arrival in Tropical Australia
Disembark your ship in Cairns and step into the warm, fragrant air of Far North Queensland, where palm-lined boulevards meet the shimmering Coral Sea. After meeting your local guide, enjoy a scenic transfer along the Esplanade to the stylish Crystalbrook Riley, a contemporary retreat that blends tropical luxury with relaxed coastal sophistication.
Settle into your surroundings and take time to refresh before the evening’s welcome gathering. As twilight settles over the waterfront, join your Tour Director and fellow travelers for a curated welcome dinner at a locally celebrated restaurant. Here, vibrant regional flavors and engaging conversation set the tone for the journey ahead, while you are introduced to your expert local host, your companion throughout this extraordinary exploration.

Day 2 - Cairns / Uluru | Into Australia’s Sacred Heart
This morning, the journey pivots dramatically, from lush rainforest to the vast, sacred stillness of Australia’s Red Centre. Fly from Cairns to Uluru, where upon arrival you are welcomed into a landscape both ancient and deeply spiritual.
Your desert sanctuary, Sails in the Desert, offers a refined contrast to the rugged surroundings. After a leisurely lunch, the afternoon invites rest before one of the Outback’s most iconic evenings unfolds.
At twilight, step into a dreamlike desert setting at the acclaimed Field of Light. As thousands of luminous stems awaken across the sands, enjoy sunset canapés with Uluru as your backdrop. Later, dine beneath an endless canopy of stars, savoring bush-inspired flavors in a setting that feels both timeless and otherworldly.

Day 3 - Uluru & Kata Tjuta
Rise early for a guided morning excursion to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), where you will walk through Walpa Gorge, a natural passage between the imposing domes. As you explore this unique formation, your guide will explain how millions of years of geological change have shaped the landscape, as well as its cultural importance within Anangu traditions.
Return to the hotel for breakfast, followed by time at leisure to relax or enjoy the resort facilities.
In the afternoon, travel to the base of Uluru for a guided Mala Walk, located on the northwestern side of the rock. Along the way, learn about the Mala ancestral story and the significance of this area as a living cultural landscape. Your guide will provide insight into both the natural features and the continuing traditions connected to the site.
Later, continue to the Kantju Gorge area, where you can observe the changing light on the rock formations at sunset. Light refreshments may be served, depending on the touring arrangements.
Return to the hotel for dinner at Ilkari Restaurant, where a buffet-style meal is offered.

Day 4 - Uluru / Alice Springs / Darwin | Across the Red Centre to the Top End
After breakfast, depart Uluru and begin your overland journey through the vast, open landscapes of Australia’s Red Centre, traveling along the Lasseter and Stuart Highways toward Alice Springs. Along the way, pause at the Mount Conner Lookout, where this distinctive flat-topped formation—often mistaken for Uluru and locally referred to as “Fooluru”, rises from the desert plains.
Continuing north, the scenery gradually shifts as the rich ochre tones of the central desert give way to the contrasting terrain of the Northern Territory’s interior. Upon arrival in Alice Springs, transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Darwin.
Arriving in Australia’s tropical Top End, you are met and transferred to the Hilton Darwin, centrally located in the city.
The evening is reserved for a relaxed dinner at the hotel, offering a comfortable conclusion to a day defined by distance, contrast, and changing landscapes.

Day 5 - Darwin | Return to Ship
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Darwin, where the tropical rhythm of Australia’s Top End offers a gentle close to your overland journey. After breakfast at the hotel, check out and meet your transfer for the short drive to the port.
Upon arrival, rejoin your ship and continue your voyage, carrying with you the vivid contrasts of Australia’s landscapes, from the lush coast of Queensland to the timeless heart of the Red Centre and the tropical energy of the Northern Territory.

General Information
Electricity: Australia operates with 220 volts. Guests should bring a universal travel adaptor for electric devices.
Expected Weather: Expect warm to hot conditions across the program, with temperatures typically ranging from 20-34 degrees Celsius (68-92 degrees Fahrenheit). Early mornings and evenings in the Red Centre can be cool. Light, breathable clothing that can be layered is recommended, along with strong sun protection.
What to Bring: It is very hot in the Red Centre and in tropical Cairns and Darwin, so we recommend wearing sun-safe clothing and comfortable shoes. Fly protection will be provided should it be needed, as flies can be a nuisance at certain times of year. Pack light loose clothing, a warm sweater or jacket for early mornings and evenings, hat, sunscreen, bathing suit, camera and charger.
Currency: Australian Dollars. The U.S. dollar is not accepted. However, all major credit cards are widely accepted.
Luggage: Guests are permitted to bring 1 piece of checked luggage per person with a maximum of 23kg and 50 lbs along with 1 small carry-on weighing no more than 7kg and 15 lbs max. One small personal item such as a purse is also permitted.
Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations):
Guests must obtain a doctor's certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry this equipment with them on their flights.
The certificate should have attached a picture of the equipment with its description and specifications, especially with regards to the type of batteries used (lithium, dry, or any other type).
These documents must be sent to the Land Program Team via the Reservations Team at least one month prior to travel so that our local operator can begin the notification process with the airline(s).
Failure to comply with the above regulations may result in denial of carriage of this equipment at the airport, for which neither the cruise line nor the local ground operator can be held responsible.
Please note: Some airlines may impose restrictions or specific requirements when transporting wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or other assistive devices. We recommend checking directly with your airline or the Cruise Line prior to departure to ensure compliance with their policies.
Documents and Visa Requirements: A passport that is valid at least 6 months after travel is required. Guests will need a visa to visit Australia. Please check with your local embassy for any visa requirements for your nationality for Australia.
Vaccination and Health Regulations: Guests are responsible for confirming up-to-date vaccination requirements directly with their local embassy or health authority. Please note that visa and vaccination costs are not included in the price of this program.

To ensure successful flight arrangements for this program, the name on your cruise booking, passport, and any required visas must match exactly. This includes first, middle, and last names, with identical spelling across all documents. Discrepancies may result in denial of boarding by the airline.
Cruise line generated manifests must align precisely with your official travel documents.
Failure to present the correct documentation or inconsistencies in guest names may lead to denied travel or the need to re-purchase tickets at your own expense. Guests will be responsible for any additional costs incurred due to these discrepancies.

Land programs that encompass multiple days ashore customarily include extensive and prolonged activity, while those of shorter durations typically have more moderate activity levels.
Each program varies, and participants should be prepared to negotiate a mixture of surfaces which may include inclines, cobblestones, sand, and gravel or natural paths. There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion.
This program is not recommended for guests who require the use of wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Guests with mobility concerns are advised to carefully assess their personal physical capabilities and stamina.
Participants must be able to independently board and disembark from transportation, including motor coaches, and should be accompanied by an able-bodied companion if assistance is needed.
Guests who choose to use independent transportation or wheelchair services provided by third-party companies may do so at their own risk and responsibility.
We encourage guests to contact the cruise line in advance to discuss any specific mobility-related questions or concerns before booking this program.
Weather appropriate clothing, hats, sunglasses, and flat, comfortable walking shoes are generally recommended.
Booking, Pricing and Cancellation:
All land programs are capacity controlled and subject to availability. Programs falling under the minimum number of required participants are subject to cancellation. Pricing listed is also subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases for transportation, land arrangements or currency fluctuations. Once purchased, pricing is guaranteed and not subject to change. Land programs must be purchased no later than 90 days prior to your sail date. Cancellations made within 90 days or less prior to the sail date are subject to 100% cancellation penalty. No refunds or partial refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the program. This includes, but is not limited to, missed transfers, accommodation, guided tours, meals, or activities. All venues, hotel stays, tour guides, and logistical services are secured and pre-paid well in advance to ensure a seamless experience for all participants.
