Become immersed in the history of the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor and spend an adventurous day at a cattle ranch in a natural reserve so primeval that it is known as Jurassic Valley. The events of December 7, 1941 will come to life as you visit poignant sites such as the USS Arizona Memorial, the battleship Missouri and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Another full day will be spent exploring Oahu’s breathtaking natural beauty at Kualoa Ranch, a stunning property often used as a movie set.
DAY 1
After landing at Honolulu International Airport, you will enjoy a seamless transfer to the Halepuna hotel, a serene and luxurious oasis nestled in the heart of Waikiki. This boutique hotel offers a harmonious blend of modern elegance and Hawaiian charm, featuring lush gardens, a stunning infinity pool and exquisite dining experiences.
Following check in, the afternoon will be yours to soak in the spectacular ocean views. Whether seeking a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled getaway, Halepuna promises an unforgettable stay in paradise.
DAY 2
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a comfortable ride to Pearl Harbor, ready to delve into a day rich with history and reflection. You will become immersed in the poignant memorials, historic ships and exhibits that tell the story of a pivotal moment in history.
This historic lagoon harbor is famously known for the surprise Japanese attack on December 7, 1941, which led to the United States’ entry into World War II.
You will begin at a museum whose artifacts tell tales of bravery, sacrifice and resilience. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, offering a blend of personal stories, historical documents and interactive displays. Historical panels will guide you through the sequence of events that forever changed the course of history.
You will then enter a screening room to see actual footage from that historic day. It will leave you with a deeper understanding of the events, their impact, and the legacy that was left.
You will then board a boat that will take you across the waters to the USS Arizona Memorial. This poignant tribute floats above the sunken battleship, where the spirits of brave sailors and Marines rest eternally. The white structure stands as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made on that fateful day, inviting you to reflect and honor their memory.
Following this unforgettable visit to the memorial, you will board a bus for a short ride through the active military base. Upon arriving at the battleship Missouri, affectionately known as the Mighty Mo, a knowledgeable guide will lead you to the very spot where World War II came to an end with Japan’s formal surrender onboard. You will walk the decks where history was made, feeling the weight of history as you explore the ships storied past.
The adventure will continue at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, which occupies historic hangars that still bear the scars of the attack. After taking a break for lunch, you may ascend the Ford Island Control Tower for a breathtaking view of the battlefield, where the past and present converge. Each site at Pearl Harbor will offer a unique window into the events that shaped the world, creating an unforgettable tapestry of courage, resilience and remembrance.
You will then return to the hotel to relax before a group dinner of exquisite cuisine in an elegant setting.
DAY 3
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a scenic journey to Kaneohe to experience a Kualoa Ranch, a property unlike any other. Known as Hawaii’s “Jurassic Valley,” this private nature reserve and working cattle ranch will offer a breathtaking blend of lush landscapes, towering mountains and pristine beaches.
There, you will enjoy a thrilling jungle expedition, navigating rugged trails that reveal panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. You will explore some iconic Hollywood movie sites and discover why more than 70 movies and TV shows, including "Jurassic Park," "Godzilla" and "Lost" were filmed at this stunning location.
For lunch, you will savor the flavors of Hawaii. The ranch prides itself on serving fresh, locally sourced ingredients, many of which are grown sustainably on the property.
Afterward, you return to Honolulu for some time at leisure before departing for a memorable farewell dinner at Chef Chai, a culinary experience that blends local flavors with innovative cuisine.
